The Right Violin Hand Posture When Performing

The said disorders could worsen if he will continue practicing with an incorrect hand placement. In this case, he might not be able to be playing the item, at all.

His thumb must be about an inch from the nut and he should be slightly bending it. There must be an open space between the tip of his thumb and the tip of his index finger. The musicians are advised to keep their fingernails short. The strings can be struck with the base of the fingers this way. While they perform, all fingers should be curved. The thumbs should also be aligned with the first fingers when chords above those nuts will be played. Most importantly, the wrists should be straightened. These should not be bent.

The individuals can make use of shoulder pads. These pads will help ease the burdens that the weight of the violins will bring upon their left shoulders. Aside from that, these pads also help the persons keep their items in the levels of their nose. These positions will allow them to shift through positions smoothly and acquire good tone projections.

When he will be performing while standing and will be reading a music sheet on a stand, the student should not be twisting his body to the left. He should be keeping his body straight and facing approximately eight inches to his left. He should only be moving his eyes through the page.

The strings should be looked down at by the students. The chins should be properly placed on those chin rests. The whole left side of the face should not be placed against those chin rests. This position is typically done by most virtuosos. However, beginners are discourage to have these positions followed. The correct postures should only be utilized by beginners.

When he will be performing while sitting, he should still be remembering the similar procedures. As additional detail for this position, he should be keeping his back straight. In this manner, he will be avoiding back strains. During his practice session, he might want to be using a mirror in checking if he is following the steps properly.
