It is a fact that when it comes to matching wardrobe pieces, women are more skilled. But like any other kinds of art, mixing and matching clothes can be learn with the right guide and practice. One of the best pieces that could revamp how a man look are cheap ties. They are not hard to find but for most guys, they are often difficult to deal with.

Ties does not need to be very expensive to look beautiful. Everything is a matter of picking the finest one that could go smoothly on your shirt and suit. What you need to look at in buying one are the clothes that you want to wear. Check its colors and look which one is the most dominant. Once, you have it pick a tie that contains the same color.

Look for colors that compliments with each other. For instance, if you have khaki pants, match them with a blue colored shirt. To complete the look, choose a tie with a darker blue color. Always remember, your tie must look darker than the color of your shirt. Navy blue and darker blue suits will bring out their best.

Where you would wear your outfit will matter on how you mix every pieces. If you are going for a corporate meeting, choose colors that are solid and bold. Go away with graphic and colorful patterns as they might cause distractions. Not to mention, they might make you look ridiculous. If you are not sure about everything, go for the classic black.

Start learning with simple and common patterns like dots. If the pattern on your shirt is something bold, choose a subtle one for your tie. Checkered and stripes are great options, but try your best not to make risks while wearing them. Do not mix them with identical patterns. Mix them with plain colored shirt and suit.

If you think all colors are in right places, proceed in taking a good look at its length and width. Yes, they matter. In fact, they matter a lot in how everything would turn out. There is what experts call a golden rule about its length, its tip must reach at the line of your belt. For the width, the skinny ones are more versatile compared to those that are wider.

That means you can easily find which one will suit you best. You may choose any knot as you like but the most basic four in hand knot is considered as the best.

To keep your tie in place all day long, use a tie bar. It may be just a clip but how you choose it is also important. Always keep it short and subtle. If you want the best for your tie, make sure to always handle it with care.
