The Importance Of Musical History

Though, we tune in to music and enjoy it in various approaches under different conditions and circumstances, there's no single description for music. To some, music may be a voice or sound which makes them feel calming and unified while for others it might be some thing to encourage, excite and relieve the moods thru high bass.

A brief history of music expands in between prehistoric to recent years. It is enriched with huge names of good musicians. It could be divided into the following eras:

Age-old Music and the Middle Ages

Music's origin dates back to the prehistoric eras. Evidences of musical instruments are found in Moenjodar or The Indus Valley Civilization, Pakistan. The civilization dates back 6000 BC and instruments like flutes made up of bones with horizontal holes in them are discovered there. Historic Egyptians believed that one of their gods, Thoth created music and another god named Osiris used it to civilize the individuals of the world.

In medieval Greece, a crucial part of existence. They had different spiritual and cultural ceremonies in which music artists performed music. They were used to educate their kids with music in a correct method. This era that adopted is known as the Middle Ages. It was the time between 476 and 1400 AD, when melody was common in the form of Gregorian chant. Gregorian chants were heard from Roman Catholic churches of that time.

The Renaissance and the Baroque Eras

It had been during 1400 to 1750, when right printing presses were designed to print melodical sheets and Kings and princes will compose the songs. Different equipment like brass strings, woodwinds, pipe organ and harpsichord were utilized to perform the music. Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, and Georg Philip Telemann are the popular music composers from the later Baroque Era.

The Conventional and the Romantic Eras

Before the Classical Era, music was limited to the aristocratic individuals but now common music composers can also survive. Public concert events began to become famous and opera houses and undertaking arts theaters were constructed. Among some famous name of traditional music are Mozart, Beethoven and Christian Bach.
